Bucks local food photo of the week: Chocolate, cheesecake or peanut brittle?

Yes, Valentine’s Day is around the corner so my mind is on sweets (and why not?). This week our social media fans had to pick their favorite local food photo. Here were the choices:

  1. Chocolate Hearts from Pierre’s Chocolates (New Hope, PA)
  2. Mini-cheesecake with fruit on top (gluten-free too!) from Sweetah’s (Warrington, PA & Flemington, NJ)
  3. Peanut Brittle from Bucks County Brittle Company (New Hope)

In some ways, this is not a real contest. People have very strong feelings about their sweets.

“Chocolate anytime,” answered one person. “Omg, is that even a real question?! Bucks County Brittle!” said another.

Many others were obviously torn. “Mini Cheesecakes, but I Love Pierre’s Chocolate!” And another fan graciously said, “I would be willing to do a taste testing of all the choices, btw, if that helps.”

WE HAVE A WINNER!

Sweetah’s beautiful gluten-free mini-cheesecake won half the vote of our fans. Although Bucks County Brittle had some passionate fans, Pierre’s came in second (well, Valentine’s Day hearts. How can you compete with that?).

Sweetah’s is a gluten-free and vegan baking company offering freshly baked cupcakes, muffins, scones, dessert bars, cookies and breads made with premium gluten-free flours, mostly organic ingredients and local ingredients when possible.

You can find them in the Stangl Factory Farmer’s Market in Flemington, NJ or order directly. Here is Sweetah’s online menu.
