Despite temperatures being slightly warmer than what we would expect from January, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate the winter season this week. Try out delicious soups from restaurants all along the river, celebrate Liberty Hall Pizza’s anniversary, and sit back and relax at a local Hawaiian luau.
Soup-a-thon continues. The Rivertown soup-a-thon continues this week. From now until January 29, Winter Festival of Lambertville/New Hope will let you enjoy a $3 cup or $6 bowl of soups at participating restaurants. Try out a classic sweet potato and butternut squash bisque from Martine’s River House, or the Block Island clam chowder at DeAnna’s Restaurant. Other Rivertown restaurants like Havana and Triumph Brewing Company will be a part of the soup-a-thon as well.
Liberty Hall Pizza turns two. The owners of Liberty Hall Pizza in Lambertville — Chris Bryan and Danny Popkin — are celebrating a second year of serving up delicious, unique Neapolitan pizzas to the local community.
Today, Monday January 23, Chris and Danny are hosting a customer appreciation night to say thank you to their neighbors and patrons. From 6 – 8 pm, they will serve complimentary Margherita pizzas and tumblers of Victory draught root beer to the first 200 guests.
Following this, the pizzeria will close from January 30 to February 8 to give their wood-fired oven (and their staff) a much-needed break, so be sure to hop over and grab your slices this week!
Tuesdays at the Grill Room. Enjoy a table side three-course prix fixe meal prepared by Jim Hamilton from Hamilton’s Grill Room. Each Tuesday, from 6 – 8 pm, Jim and his Grill Room staff prepare a special themed dinner. The meal this week includes a delicious lamb shish kebab and Risi e Bisi. Winter Festival Hawaiian luau. Transport yourself to a warm Hawaiian Luau this Wednesday, January 25 at Karla’s Restaurant. As part of the Rivertown Winter Festival, Karla’s Restaurant will cook you dinner and offer drink specials from the cash bar to keep you in the Hawaiian mood. Enjoy live music by John Beacher and be entertained by Ran’D Shine, a 2016 APCA Magician of the Year. Tickets are $40 in advance, and $45 at the door.

Bucks Bacon & Beer 2017. Tickets are now available for the 4th Annual Bucks Bacon & Beer on Sunday, March 19 from 12 – 4 pm at Triumph Brewing Company in New Hope, co-sponsored by Bucks County Taste.
It’s all about the bacon! Be it smoked, cured, artisanal, or non-nitrate, come and taste the best. Enjoy locally sourced and locally made bacon, sausage, cheese and other delectable foods from local purveyors, farmers and butchers.
