When you live in Bucks County, there are always opportunities to support a local cause. The easiest way to support the community is by shopping locally and shopping at small businesses.
Of course, we at Bucks County Taste like to eat for a good cause too. This week, pick up cinnamon buns made by Bucks County seniors, or eat a meal that benefits a local food rescue group. You can also sign up to be a volunteer at a local farmers market. Keep reading for more ideas!
Rolling Harvest and Caffe Galleria. Enjoy a tasty meal for a good cause this Monday. Caffe Galleria & Market will donate a portion of all sales, (whether that be dining in, take out, or delivery) to go directly to Rolling Harvest Food Rescue. Eat locally, help locally! Visit the cafe’s website for more information.
Cinnamon Bun Sale. It’s that time of the month again! We know you can’t resist these ooey gooey cinnamon buns! Stop by the Central Bucks Senior Center (700 N Shady Retreat Rd) in Doylestown for freshly baked cinnamon buns this Tuesday through Friday. The last week of each month, the members of the Senior Center all pitch in to create these mouth-watering sticky buns. Beginning at 9 am you can buy the buns by the dozen in four flavors: plain ($5), raisin ($5.50), nuts ($5.50), or raisin and nuts ($6.50).
Hamilton’s Grill Room new menu and Garden Lunch. Hamilton’s Grill Room launches their spring menu featuring grilled oysters with Pernod butter, crab cakes with citrus and soy, grilled halibut, mixed grill of spring lamb and the return of its famous Alaskan king crab legs.
Some of the entrees are available as grazing portions. The spring menu is served on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
And this coming weekend (Shad Fest), Hamilton’s starts their Garden Lunch, open from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm every Saturday and Sunday through the spring and summer. Full menu and more details coming soon.
Lower Makefield Farmers Market. Want to give back to the community? Consider becoming a volunteer for a local farmers market. The Lower Makefield Farmers Market, opening soon, needs your help. You would need to do some lifting, and they also need help getting tents, tables, and chairs out of the shed, onto the golf cart and then set up in specific locations. If you are interested, email the market here.
